What's going to get in the way
The only question that matters to me is
When it comes to the end of the day
Where is this all going to be
Will the structure just buckle under
The weight of it's own intentions
And in the end when it's all remembered
What are they all going to mention?
Will it be worth the wait
When the days go strange
Will we adapt to the change
Or will the gamble all just turn sour
And will the progress all just seem useless
When compared to the bare essentials
Will we wonder why we acted this way
Will it be worth all the change
These wild fires burn too bright
For me to stare into for too long
And these wild fires burn too late
For me to stay awake
For too long
