Out of the basement, into the garage. Since the release of Volume 1 DoubleTooth has been working on finding new ways to make infectiously danceable music.
Volume 2 maintains the same goals as Volume 1, turn off the critic, make music, and make it groovy. This time around they delved deep into House, electronica, and the world of Modular synths taking influences from the sounds of Floating Points, Larry Heard, Prince, Quincy Jones while still maintaining some of the African influences found on Volume 1. Still all instrumental, still funky as hell.
The talents of String Wizard Drew Jurecka were called upon to provide some extra lushness for some of these tracks. Aside from that, all of the music was created by Robbie Grunwald and Joshua Van Tassel at Dream Date Studio. A garage turned Music Lab in the Junction, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Lace up those dancing shoes, and turn it up to 11.
